INKBOX CONTEST
INKBOX CONTEST
During my senior year of college, I entered a contest created by inkbox in collaboration with Adobe. Inkbox is a company that creates semi-permanent tattoos that look and feel like the real thing. The design style they were looking for was meant to be as simple as possible, with designs that were strong, bold, easy to stencil, and without shading or crosshatching. I made it to the finals, and inkbox featured my design on Instagram.
Design Concept: The design I created for the contest was meant to be two pieces that could be put together as a whole, with my concept being to create matching tattoos for couples. I used lines to create a hand gesture, with women's hands and men's hands combining together to form a whole image. There is also a design that combines both images as a whole. Another concept I came up with was a hand gesture with a heart sign. This finger heart sign has become very popular in Asia.
