1984
This is a redesign of the book cover of 1984, George Orwell’s dystopian tale of a totalitarian future society. The main purpose of this project was to create visually compelling covers using only lines and text. The project seeks to portray the dismal setting of the dystopian worlds and the main figures of each novel. More research showed that the first line of the novel, “It was a bright cold day in April and the clocks were striking thirteen” was the most famous line of the novel. This was developed into a book cover idea.
